So you’re interested in our puppies? 

Midnight Sun breeds with the betterment of the breed in mind. Our litters are bred with  The goal to produce a dog with sound body and temperament

Our protocols 

0 - 2 weeks 

Puppies are born in our bedroom by our bed, where they will stay for their first 2 weeks of their lives. Puppies are whelped in a raised garden bed from tractor supply with bath mats at the bottom to support in healthy hip development. 

Puppies start ENS/ ESI/ and scent imprinting at 3 days old, which continues until they are 16 days old.

We introduce them to nail clippers and grinders 

2 - 4 weeks 

This is a critical age for our puppies! They’re eyes begin to open and they start learning to hear! It is within these two weeks that we introduce them to different sounds, surfaces and handling. They begin waddling around. It is the start of week two that we introduce them to turf grass which makes up 80% of their whelping box, slowly starting the process of potty training. 

4 - 6 weeks 

Week  4 for means big chances four and six means big changes for our group! They receive a Neopar vaccine, and their first introductions to the outside world! They go

More different surfaces. Puppies are started on mandling for sit, down, it’s also where we begin clicker conditioning, they start riding in the car, and we start kennel training 

6 - 8 weeks 

Six to 8 weeks means puppies are being exposed to everything! They go to the vet, and we start carrying them in pet friendly places, where they hear and see outside people, dogs, sounds, sights. We continue mandling. Teaching them to be calm for affection. It is at 7 1/2 weeks that we make picks on service homes, pet homes and, show homes based on extensive temperament and structural evaluations
